For there is another Alsace — medieval and mysterious, and perhaps still little known. It will be revealed to those wishing to see it along this route covering 24 sites offering the possibility to explore Hohlandsbourg Castle or the fortified city of Saverne, Wissembourg or Kintzheim Castle, amongst castles and fortifications.

What to expect on this route? You will be plunged into the heart of medieval Alsatian history inside castles, of course, but also at the foot of beautiful ramparts, fortified churches or in the centre of characterful towns.

And since medieval can even go hand in hand with digital, the app Sur la piste des trésors d’Alsace [On the trail of Alsace treasures] will be your travel and play companion, whether you are with family or friends. Learning whilst having fun.
